SUMMARY:Saturday with a Scientist: Cretaceous Crocs
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered what other creatures lived in Texas during the Cretaceous Period? \nJoin Dr. Thomas Adams\, Chief Curator and Vice President of Research at the Witte Museum\, for Saturday with a Scientist: Cretaceous Crocs in the Valero Great Hall. Dr. Adams will showcase his research and discoveries into Texas crocodile fossils. \nDiscover the giant Deinosuchus\, also known as the “terror crocodile\,” and Deltasuchus\, the dinosaur-eating predator that once dominated Texas waterways. The Early Cretaceous Period holds so many fascinating discoveries—from land to water\, from small to gigantic creatures—offering a glimpse into an ancient world far different from the crocodiles and alligators we know today. \nThis event is included with General Admission. Purchase your admission online here or purchase a Witte Membership and enjoy events like this all year! \nAnd don’t forget to explore our special exhibition Unseen Oceans\, where you can dive even deeper into the wonders of the natural world.
