Explore the two special exhibitions\, Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family and Antarctic Dinosaurs\, and visit our Super Saturday Dinosaur Family Reunion booths set up around the museum. \nEngage with experts\, learn how paleontologists transport fossils down a mountain\, use tracks to determine the approximate height of a dinosaur\, create dinosaur art and meet paleontologist Dr. Thomas Adams. \nFOSSIL IDENTIFICATION: 1 – 3 p.m. \nHave you ever wondered if you may have found a fossil? During the Dinosaur Family Reunion\, the Witte’s own paleontologist\, Dr. Thomas Adams\, will be on hand to help identify your findings! \nHow do I prepare for identification? Bring as much information (location found\, etc.) on your discovery as possible. Please limit of one specimen per person to allow everyone an opportunity. \nIdentifications are for educational purposes only. The Witte Museum does not provide authentications or appraisals for monetary (market) value or for legal purposes. \nDEMONSTRATION SCHEDULE: \n\nBirds of a Feather at 1:30 p.m.: Have you ever wondered if dinosaurs had feathers and why? DESCRIPTION:Add to your Witte experience with hands-on explorations of Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art\, and Math at STEAM Sunday. \nWhat is a bubble? \nThis hands-on workshop explores the chemistry and physics of making amazing bubbles. You’ll learn about surface tension and minimal surface shapes as you engineer your own bubble solution and bubble wands. \nImportant Information: \n\nAdditional fee and advance registration required for event. Purchase includes all supplies needed for interactive workshop and collectible button.\nNon-participating family members are welcome (space permitting) and do not need to purchase a ticket.\nRecommended for all ages over 5.\nProgram runs approximately 45-60 minutes.\nParticipation in this event requires Witte Museum admission (sold separately)\, plus STEAM Sunday ticket for each participant 5 years and older.\nSTEAM Sunday ticket sales close one hour before the program begins.

DESCRIPTION:Learn about exhibitions and programs at the McNay Art Museum\, the Witte Museum\, the San Antonio Museum of Art and the DoSeum while earning professional education credit. Hosted by the McNay Art Museum\, ¡Más Museos! allows educators to circulate through all four museums in 90-minute sessions. \nTeachers earn six hours of continuing education credit. Space is limited and a reservation is required. Fee includes swag bag\, box lunch and museum admissions. No refunds\, but tickets are transferable. \nRegister by Thursday\, July 13.
