Wonders of the Witte
Ages: 6-12
How do dinosaurs get discovered? Where did the earliest people of Texas live? Explore the wonders of archeology, paleontology and science at the Witte! Join us to uncover the layers of earth and rock that mark Texas and create your own cabinet of curiosity alongside Witte curators and educators. What “Wonders of the Witte” will you discover?

Dino Explorers: Frozen Fossils
Ages: 6-8
Dinosaurs in Antarctica? Dive into the past this week at Witte Camp as we imagine the world when dinosaurs roamed Antarctica. Explore what scientists have learned about dinosaurs who called Antarctica their home in the Antarctic Dinosaurs exhibition. Get ready for a frozen adventure!
Cooking Up History
Ages: 9-12
Corn or flour tortillas? Discover Texas culture, past and present, through the lens of food. Join us as we explore the history of Tex-Mex cuisine to learn how Texas shaped this food and how this food has shaped our culture. Cook up history this summer at the Witte
Mini CHEF’s
Ages: 6-8
Calling all Mini Chefs! Join us in a week-long immersive culinary adventure as we discover different ingredients to create delicious snacks and meals. Explore the different methods of cooking as we prepare a variety of CHEF recipes. Will you unleash your inner chef?
Engineer It!
Ages: 9-12
How do we engineer in our everyday life? Explore all the different types of engineering at camp! Discover the skills needed to be an engineer. Problem solve. Work with a team. Use your imagination and the engineering design process to accomplish amazing things. What will you create?
Cooking Up the Past
Ages: 6-8
What are charro beans? Who was the first to put chili on an enchilada? Delve into the history and culture of Texas through food at Cooking Up the Past. Make and taste famous Tex-Mex foods as you discover the many techniques used to create delicious dishes. What will you cook up?
Jr. Paleontologist: Terrific Tyrannosaurs
Ages: 9-12
Did you know that the T. rex is not the only known tyrannosaur? Explore what paleontologists have discovered about these dinosaurs and how big their family really is in the Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family exhibition. Learn the science skills needed to study fossils from real-life paleontologists.
Engineer It! Jr.

At Blast from the Past: Farm Edition you will have opportunities to engage with Witte Museum exhibits as we create, explore and make our very own 3-D model farm. Take a journey with Witte educators as we have a blast from the past!
Art of Nature

How many shades of green can you find in nature? View the world through the eyes of an artist. Let the natural world elicit your imagination this week at Art of Nature camp. Explore the outside to inspire art with plants, pebbles, feathers and more—the possibilities are endless! Become an artist of nature. How will you be inspired?
Wild About Texas
Ages: 6-12
Have you ever seen a Texas tortoise in the wild? Explore nature at the Witte Museum! At Wild About Texas, you will explore the world around you and learn just how important it is to care for the great state of Texas. Discover the many different habitats of Texas and get up close and personal with some of the creatures that call Texas their home. Are you ready to be Wild About Texas?
Dino Explorers: Frigid Findings
Ages: 9-12
Ready to investigate what secrets are hidden beneath the ice? Discover what it takes to dig for fossils on Earth’s coldest continent. Find out how paleontologists discover which dinosaurs lived in Antarctica by exploring, and learning in the Antarctic Dinosaurs exhibition! What dinosaur discovery will you uncover?
