The Witte Museum Board of Trustees today announced that Dirk Elmendorf is the next President & CEO of the Witte Museum, effective January 1, 2024.

Wonder awaits you at the Witte during the 2023 winter break. Entertain your families and visitors with special exhibitions, such as Explore Your World. Experience Texas through art and artifacts in Mi Cultura and A State of Exploration. Spend a day discovering Texas dinosaurs, wildlife and history. With vast galleries and gardens to explore, a visit to the Witte will be a highlight of your winter break.

“San Antonio’s Space Endeavors—President Kennedy’s Last Public Speech,” an exhibit marking 60 years since President John F. Kennedy visited San Antonio to dedicate the Aerospace Medical Health Center at Brooks Air Force Base and speak to the key role of San Antonio in medical space research, is on display November 11 – 28, 2024 at the Witte Museum .
